The story of restaurant Chiosco di Bacco in Torriana is a story of a family, of a vineyard and two young people who after almost 20 years are still living their dream of a love and a passion intertwined under flourishing ivy and vine leaves. And like any important history, everything began long long time ago. A grandmother, working parents, and a child who spends her time with her grandmother, a time of hand-rolled pasta and rich and lenses, lenses sauces on the stove.
The traditions are inherited and so, sometimes unknowingly, they take roots we’re not even aware of, and then we become almost adults and when deciding what to do and where to go, those roots become strong and arrogant certainties, solid in the confusion that one has about future at that age. Roberto has the temperament of Sangiovese, open and choral, perfect as a maître d'. Together they study, work and any time possible they open their travelogue, north south east west, taste and bring home only the raw materials of excellence, treat it, respecting its value and sublimating its form; they enrich their material with the new one and experiment, adapting the taste.
